Free leather scraps, anyone?

I made this offer once or twice before... but here we go again.

Various scraps of sole bend leather, the thick stuff I make into replacement leather saddle tops. These pieces are 4-6 mm thick, and none are big enough to make a saddle out of them, but they have other uses... brake blocks for wooden rims, for example. Or you could line your bench vise so it doesn't damage things you hold in it. This stuff is too thick for brake lever hoods, I think. Sometimes I make key fobs and things like that from the scraps, but I have way more than I need. Want some? Tell me what you want, I'll see if I have something. I'm happy to send you one piece, or a pound, or five pounds, whatever. You pay shipping.

You have the ability to imprint logos on the saddle leather, no? Ever think of Brooks or Ideale logo'd drink coaster sets from scraps? I betcha you could sell some.

Rudi, a couple of pieces for my small vise jaws is a great idea. If you could tuck away a few for the next time I see you that's appreciated!

Is this leather suitable for an air pump washer? Did you ever make one for a Medai?

Probably not right for a pump washer. I think those are a different kind of leather (chrome tanned?) and a lot thinner.

Make one for a medal? I don't understand.

Ah, right!

On second thought this kind of leather might work for a pump washer, but I still think the pieces I have are too thick.

I just finished building up an old Raleigh Elkhorn frame and have been looking for some leather to recreate the "portage strap" for the special frame braze ons.

If you have any scraps of a suitable length / width, I'd love to snag a couple.
