have not seen doctor about the rib specifically. when i went to the er it was a little sore, but everything was sore so I didn't bring it up. even if it is broken all they're going to do is tell me to rest and give me pain killers.

Having trained through broken ribs, mehbeh get that bad boy checked out. It still buzzes on me from time to time, presumably due to me being an ass about having it dealt with. I understand there's little they can do for a rib, but the little they can do might help?

Did 2x20min at 300w @ 5000ft on Saturday, then 2hrs at 200w the last two days. Today is another 2x20min at 300w.
Also of note: I'm at my lowest "Christmas weight" in years. Like, most of a decade. My plan to race sub-140lbs next year is shaping up well at this point.

1.5hrs easy, since it's rainy out I'm probably going to use the time to dial in my new bike's fit, much to the chagrin of NEBRA.
edit: poor usage of chagrin. let's pretend I wrote disappointment.

2x20s, supposed to be 90%, did 96% for both due to new bike syndrome.
Looking at the bike photo I posted yesterday I thought the seat looked low. Sure enough the seat post had slipped down over 1cm. Fixed that, and while playing with the bike I reprogrammed the shifters so right=upshift, left=downshift. Curious to see how that feels.

rode today in AZ. Indian School road. Chased by a pack of wild dogs and then a pit bull, who I thought was done chasing me until I heard "skitch skitch skitch" like from a movie of it's nails on the road. 1100+ watts for the 2nd time in my life. Back feels OK, but I have no vO2.

I had just pulled off the front on a long false flat. They'd done their recon and chosen their ambush location quite well.
Nothing will propel you like fear.

Rode 44 miles to work this morning. Very rainy and very windy. Headwindy. So it took extra long, plus I got a flat on the way. I hate changing flats in poor weather. Rode the next hour to work fine, but found another flat this evening. Argh!
Also, I was once chased by some fierce looking dogs at some construction yard in Phoenix. Don't know what power I hit, but I'm sure it was pretty high!

Wednesday is Jump day. 180 jumps. Not quite in Hermes/Cossack territory yet.
@Hermes, I tried doing jump-on-two land-on-one like the guy you saw, but honestly it feels just as risky as jump-on-one land-on-one.

First time I broke 1000 watts was one of those 'if you don't go fast this car is going to kill you' moments.

And there is no rush to hit a magic number of jumps. It is all in context of what else you are doing. In working out to improve...the first rule is do no harm to oneself.
