WTB - 1985 Trek 770 56 cm frame or whole bike

I had a chance at this bike a couple of years ago and I'm still kicking myself. I want the pink one. Thanks

I think I’ll have a 1984 58cm 770 frame available soon. It’s in solid shape, but is in need of a repaint.

Maybe Alex can help with this one? Its in Chilacothe, OH.

Looks like 56-58? better get measurements. Don't fight over it all at once now.

OP wants the pink one. The turquoise-ish color is an easy find.

We know - just trying to be helpful. If nothing else, an 84 could be repainted for not a lot if someone was so motivated.

Yeah, just trying to help and see what the supply is out there at various places. I know the turquoise-aqua is probably a lot easier to find, but, then again if they're really rare in pink, you can always repaint.

Here's another which is probably too big but as a project, maybe worth the trouble of getting the stuck seat post out of, price is right plus comes with headset and post (if usable afterwards)

Not quite pink, more purple, but size at 54cm may be closer, still available:

I looked for a pink 58cm Trek 770 for quite a while. Definitely a tough find. Ended up going with an ‘87 Schwinn Super Sport to satisfy my pink fix. Not a 770 but no slouch either. It’s the old adage, I’ll take 50% of something vs 100% of nothing, except in the this case I’ll give a Tenax Super Sport credit for 75%.

Good luck with the search.

I had one for a few years. They are as great a riding bike as everyone says it is. Good luck with your search.
