What 2017 bike are you looking forward to, that is $2,500 or less, and suitable for most conditions?

I'd have to say there is currently two bike on my radar
The new Giant TCR Advanced 2
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us...2/25997/92743/
And Felt FR5
FR5 - Felt Bicycles
The price on both and the componets on both make for a tremendous value in my opinion.
What are thoughts on the rear brake mounted underneath the chain stay on the Felt?

My current bike. I have no reason to buy a new bike in 2017. However, if I could, hmmm decision decisions decisions....though I would probably try and find a bike I could put fenders on, but maybe not.
The bike I am most looking forward to is putting my Schwinn Prologue back together.

My current bike has the rear brake mounted on the chain stay. I don't like it. Makes no sense to put the brake in the location where it is guaranteed to pick up the maximum amount of dirt and grime, and the rear brake on my bike is weird and difficult to adjust. It does make for a clean look and clean cable routing though.

I'm not looking forward to buying ANY 2017 bikes.
...but I am looking forward to the prices of some 2016 bikes plummeting at the end of this year.

The redesigned specialized roubaix is coming September 9 and will be available around 2500. It's a big deal.

I find the brakes on my bike difficult to adjust. I think the location is part of that, but I think part of it is the Suntour XC Sport brake on my bike. I find the normal canti front brake on my bike much easier to adjust. I'm not super experienced with bike mechanics though so take that FWIW.
Hope that helps!

Seems like bike are coming down in price for performance, and to me that is a big deal as well.

Good for most rough to smooth conditions, and for most flat to slightly steep roads.

Looking forward to the new Roubaix as well. Won't be changing bikes but it's always interesting to see the innovations Specialized, Trek, etc come up with.

Just made the jump from a 2013 CAAD 10 5 to a 2016 Tarmac Pro Race. Damn I forgot how carbon makes the long rides more enjoyable (or tolerable)! Plus the thing just climbs like a mofo. Great investment, never looking back but am thinking about keeping the CAAD still for a backup. Sure the CAAD is stiff but damn if the ride aint harsh as hell!

I could really see myself with a Cannondale Synapse Ultegra Di2.
Problem is they are all disc now and I don't want disc brakes.
Plus the green paint is just hideous, while the black is gorgeous, but nobody has a black in my size.

I was thinking of a Motobecane Immortal ICE with full 6800 but now I am thinking about that Werkswell build from the other thread. Truthfully though I don't think I am going to get another bike in the near future. I have my Motobecane carbon that I just replaced the wheels and crank on this year and my 853 steel build as my secondary bike that I had powder-coated and built with 5700 last year.
