Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just cancelled our Y basketball game. Snotty, sweaty nine and ten year olds pawing a basketball at the Y with parents screaming and coughing is not worth the risk to anyone.

My wife is generally smarter than me.

From my sister in Boston:

"Boston is like a ghost town. We’ve officially gone remote – most businesses working from home (except Mary and me, because well, when you run a business, it’s hard to do it from home). Every conference, event, meeting has been canceled. Restaurants and bars are empty. No one is on public transport and there’s no traffic at all. Grocery stores are picked over, you can’t get toilet paper in the city, and Instacart is down because grocery delivery is out of control. It is so crazy and weird."

That is a great idea. Our county health department has no tests. None. We have no tests. None.

We are told we may get a small quantity of tests next week. I am not holding my breath.

Thanks. Trying to get a feel for what we're being told versus reality.

Last week Washington was saying it was getting one million tests out. Obvious fail.

This. We are testing patients in-house, but not staff, apparently.

Man, if they shut down my kid's school, I'm going to need more than Wed Night Rides to keep my (relative) sanity.

Knox County closed tomorrow. Next week is spring break. Who knows after that.

Ohio schools are closed for the next three weeks.

I bet by Monday, the end will be here. I was in court this afternoon and the clerks were freaking out. No one wants to be there. There were four bottles of hand sanitizer.

What about jury service? No one will come for jury duty to sit in the jury assembly room or in the box with everyone else.
