Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The downside of doing so many great workouts recently is that when I did this morning’s workout good and hard... nothing. TrainingPeaks gave me no love. At least it’s still good TSS.

My BIL had a two-seater ultralight back in their time. He asked several times to go up with him. I’ve had numerous small engines quit or lose power, so, NO.

I was riding in the desert with friends on my Maico 490 when the mainshaft in the transmission seized up and pushed the clutch out through the side cover. Came to an abrupt halt. We were close to a dirt road so they were able to get the truck and pick me up. We had to take the chain off to roll it onto the truck.

I read later that there was an internal power struggle in the Maico factory and one of the family members had sabotaged the transmission heat-treating process.

Don't worry. Campy people are safe here. You just have to whisper.

Chorus 10, Record 11, SR EPS, and some G3 Eurus wheels that are about 15 years old.

Good news. Positive test in my mom's quarantined independent care facility yesterday. I might have to start throwing food on her balcony.

Who will be the first here to do a bike ride wearing a mask? You will receive a Velo Vol kudos.

I still think they’re hideous (don’t tell WhyFi), but I’d just never look down.

I don't know if it's one of the fabric-covered planes, but there is a biplane that flies over my house occasionally in the spring. It looks like fun, I'd take a ride in it. Also the stunt plane that practices in my area- it's a cool little show almost every weekend there's good weather. It's on the list to one day track them down at the regional airports and see if they take passengers.

Nope. Neither do balaclavas (which I will wear if I go out today due to frigid conditions).

It has to be an anti-coronavirus mask.
