I’ve been busy with the soldering iron and the heat-shrink tubing.
It has a 12 volt / 10 a/h LiFe battery, but the bike has so many lights now, the LCO is less than 3 hours with all lights lit. The USB Charger also powers the Camcorder.

Anyway, I just rode 16.8 miles to get some 🥬 bok choy Chinese spinach, green radishes, and chives. There was intense traffic near I-495 and the Northern State Parkway, and I ride with these lights to sort of compensate.

What's the story behind this bike?

Wrapped the fairing and pannier Tailbox with metallic foil. This is to protect the plastic from UV radiation.

Started as a corrugated polypropylene panniers with high sides. Only needs two zip ties as a safety, it actually fits tightly on the rack.


NOTE: the fairing and panniers were swapped from a 2002 Giant Lafree to a 2023 Fly-11.
The Giant only had a 9 mile range, was impractical as a delivery bike.
The Fly-11 has at least 44 mile range.


Other smaller 15” cube Tailbox. These have plugs for the wires so the boxes can be swapped in five minutes. (Without soldering)


This is a non-standard prototype.

I hope more engineering students will try this . Or bring back Industrial Arts
