New bike, you do not find a large SS/fixed bike here in Cambodia but I found this used Pure Fix for $120. It is a 61cm C-T and I usually ride a 56cm C-C so it makes for a great french fit.

I like the drive by bukkake tag. I don't actually ever want to see that but it is funny. Bike looks good as well, I love that paint scheme just don't get the bike "RIGGETY RIGGETY WRECKED"!

Got a couple chips in the paint from being stuffed in the trunk on a recent road trip -- normally those don't bother me, but I'm a little mad that it got its scars while inside a car.

I got an unexplained scratch on my Langster and was pissed. I don't know where it came from and how I haven't noticed till now luckily it looks like it doesn't hit the fade at the top so I just need to find a white nail polish to fix it up.

I dropped a 12" crescent wrench on the TT of my cross bike while I was building it. Good times at least it didn't dent it.

@belacqua, I have the same headlight on my 1971 Super Course (which is now a 16-speed bike). The light is decent but the beam is a bit narrow. I don't think they're available anymore.

Lol yeah I noticed that over in C&V! Dosun. They were great for $80 but I think you're right they're no longer available.

Vonruden YES PLEASE!!!!! That is a nice collection. Love to see more Chapmans in the wild. I always wanted a Circle A cycles frame but they closed down before I went for it. Though he is doing some really nice work with his own company. The Paul stuff on the Quickbeam is nice but I have a soft spot for anything 3DV and Paul Comp and the WI cranks don't hurt it neither. Everything else is also equally AWESOME!!!!! but you know that already, you get to ride them.

Those are some classy rides. If I had to choose one, I'd go with the Chapman, because I'm a C&V nerd, but that doesn't diminish the others. They are all sweet!

I can't read any Japanese or speak anything aside from Sushi menu Japanese which isn't helpful but I do remember the Quickbeam being made by Panasonic in Japan and it looks like they still have a custom bike program possibly which could lead you to a similar program maybe:

For all I know that frame may have been built by Panasonic - but the Quickbeam was a Rivendell bike & GP got a lot of love for the angled trackends. They actually did a collabo reissue a couple years back but for the life of me I can't remember with who. I'm not sure how it will compare with the Quickbeam, but rumor has it that Rivendell is on the verge of introducing a new Singlespeed.

And yes, it goes without saying that those are some pretty nice bikes Vonruden...

Sheldon Brown said it about his Quickbeam and also saw it here and here as well as other places. I know it was a RBW design but you never know Panasonic might be able to make ya one with the angled track-ends. It never hurts to ask they might even have the CAD drawing or geo charts or blueprints or whatever they used to make it in their offices or on a computer or something?
