I've always figured what will happen will be that along about the time I turn 95, there'll be a treatment that can stop the aging process. Not reverse it, just stop it. You're stuck at whatever you are then.
Then I figure that if I decide to take it, in another 20 years, they'll develop a treatment that can REVERSE the aging process. BUT it only works on those who have NOT taken the 'Stop Aging' treatment, and I'll be stuck, permanently 95 years old, among a bunch of perpetual 20-somethings.
They better get the hell off my damn lawn.

After the 3 foot snowfall storm the week before Christmas I was determined to buy a new one (prior owner left an old weak Craftsman). FIL found out and brought this beast Ariens that’s probably older than I am that clears snow better than anything I’ve ever seen. He has three of them in his “garage” which is more like a full blown engine shop, complete with a crane and all.

So, they rescheduled Dads scope till tomorrow. His dr.s are unsure about what to do with him. The meds ha was on to unblock his arteries and the bi passes didn't work. They are going to go in through his groin tomorrow and look around so they can figure out what to do. He has one leg artery left. I think they are going to rule out any other treatments and do another bypass. I hope he is strong enough.

Since I've been having fun on Tour de Zwift, and because I do need more summer jerseys, and because I got $50 off for actually riding the TdZ, I decided to buy one of the TdZ jerseys. I carefully studied the size chart, which said that size L would fit a 42-44" chest. Mine's 43". BUT, I read the thing that says this is 'Aero Fit' and "if you're looking for a more relaxed fit you may wish to size up". So I bought an XL.
Well, it arrived today. It looked really small, like something Mrs. GeneJockey could wear. I tried it on. It's not constricting, but it is SKIN TIGHT. And this was the next size up. I cannot imagine how the L could possibly fit!
I guess this will be like the XXL Castelli kit I bought in 2019 was until late this summer - aspirational. If I get down below 200, I'll wear it. Maybe. Depending. Not sure anyone wants to see an old not-so-fat guy in a skintight jersey.

It’s Le Col right? They look like a very European fit.

When I was a yute, we would wrap bicycle chains one or 2 rows around the circumference of our go cart tires. Then take them out on the lake. It was like it was on rails.
Deflate the tire, put on the chain, chain. Then blow the tire up. Worked great.
I suppose you could also go store bought, regular old tire chains . They probably sell them in the store for your snow blower.

Still snowing and blowing, but we’ve only gotten about 6” in the city. Places like Allentown were not so lucky. More than two feet so far.

On NPR today they were interviewing a panel about bio hacking. One of the guests was convinced in the near future we will be able to live significantly longer. 200 maybe even 300 years old, and that the technology would be made available to anyone not just the super rich. Ethics were brought up along other problems. Not one person mentioned how the planet we live on would not be able to sustain this. Seems kind of a big deal and I am really disappointed that it wasn’t brought up.

Of course, it's possible that will change but based on what I see and envision for the next few decades, I do believe it's unlikely anytime soon.
Agree the ethics COULD be an issue, but honestly if/when we have the advanced technology to manage aging, there will likely be similar technology advances that may make render these other concerns moot.

Found out today my old windbreaker is not water proof. Of course this was when I reached my farthest point from my house.
Nothing in the forecast this morning about snow, wind or rain and somehow it managed to perform the trifecta.
Canceled the wife’s ride this morning due to unpredicted weather.
I should have been a weather man. No matter how good or bad the economy is doing people will always need the weather man to tell them what not to expect.
