Will definitely do so! Have you room to share with one or two local BF guys? One has already posted to the thread and another is also interested. They may reach out to you here or via PM.

Until what time do you usually stay? If we planned on doing lunch around 1pm, do you think you could come along, too?

If anyone is interested in doing lunch, keep in mind some places may be popular enough that we might need a reservation. That's the only reason I think it would be good to be solid on a place and time. Once we come up with it, I'll make the reservation if need be.

Again, I vote McMenamin's Anderson School. Tons of free parking, good food and beverages and my collection is only a 3-minute stroll away

Wish I could come check this event out, but I moved to the opposite coast 4 mos ago. On a side note, I greatly miss Seattle's CL.

I don't have a preference on lunch spots, but I would love to see your stable. Nearly everyone in the Portland area lives within a short distance of a McMenamin's but I always enjoy checking out new ones.

I usually stay until the bitter end which is what, 2:00? I often get the best deals from other vendors in the last hour. So I probably can’t make it to lunch. But I hope lots of BikeForumers will stop and introduce themselves. I should wear some sort of easily identifiable piece of clothing, but I don’t know what that’d be yet.

Sorry, no booth room. I usually have no problem filling up my booth with my stuff.

Alexa says it's 13.9 miles to Magnuson Park from Bothell. Sounds about right. One good thing about lunch at MAS is there is a ton of parking available; even if busy, the library always has plenty of spots and it's only a couple minutes walk away.

Gents..... FYI, the Lascauxcaveman and I are making plans to attend the Seattle Swap. We will be driving from Port Angeles and make this a day trip. I have a small shopping list that I hope will keep me focused on bits I actually need....wish me luck with that!! It sounds like Tim may be in a mood to sell. I will keep an eye on this thread, it would be great to meet you all.

Still looking to do McMenamin's for lunch, sometime around noon or noon-thirty, so that the Portland guys have plenty of time to get back to the train station for their trip back.

I've got room for three in my car to take care of those who are on two wheels.

Well, I'm out now. My wife is undergoing surgery tomorrow for a broken ankle she suffered 2 weeks ago. She'll still be recuperating so I'll be sticking closer to home for a little while.

Here's a get well soon for her. We are just getting over the same thing at the 66 house, my gal is about three weeks away from greater independence. Mrs 66 did not require surgery. But it is/was one more week for recovery.

I'll be there at the swap, and lunch.

Any specific plans for this weekend? I'll be shooting to be in line at around 9, maybe a little before if I can drag myself out of bed early enough that morning or if you guys are lining up before it opens.

I may or may not be able to do Mcmenamins depending on timing. I need to be back in Fremont no later then 3 or 3:30.

Swap and Lunch

I'm planning to visit the swap and do lunch.

What does the BF secret handshake look like?

I'm going to be there around 0915 - Alex Moll is planning on meeting up with me at the same time. I'll have my phone and plan on stopping by Booth 29 to visit with Drew first thing.

Because McMenamin's Anderson School is about 12 miles out of the way (for most) to the north, I suggest a place Alex came up with: https://www.theram.com/locations/wa-seattle-northgate/

There are numerous locations, but the closest to the event is the Northgate restaurant. I've got a request to confirm it with Alex, but for planning purposes the Northgate location it is.

If we wanted to get everyone together for a confirmation of lunchtime at the event, I suggest a meeting out front to the immediate right of the hangar doors in front of the blue awning - or under it if it's raining. Highlighted here:

I hope this helps. The Swap itself is in the big blue hangar. Figure if we all take at least an hour to leisurely make the rounds, maybe we could plan to do a quick meet/greet/lunch decision at 10:15?

Rainy, but 52 for the high. If you've got fenders (or so I hear) you should be good

I'll have my truck if the weather is not good, I don't have a bike ready for fenders, or fenders yet. . Perhaps that will my search and seek for the swap.

If you're going to got the Ram, why not the one at University Village? That's a lot closer to the bike swap. Should be plenty of parking there, too, although I've never been to that location.

*Fun Caveman Fact: Yours Truly was the the very first brewer hired by the Ram when they started converting their sports bar chain into a brewpub chain. (Salem, OR, 1995) I'd be happy to wax nostalgic about it while we're slurping down the suds - at either location.

I hope to still make it to this thing; kinda up in the air with family responsibilities.

Hello, question for newbie to Bike swap.
Could someone help put in simple words how it works?
Anyone can have both if pays the $65 fee (of course is sold out long ago for 2018).
What are the good stuff you can find out there?

Well, it wasn't specified which one and I didn't look too closely at all the locations. I didn't know there were so many - I'd actually never heard of them before today! That's so cool that you've got history with them - did they always go by The Ram?

But yeah, Uni Village is perfect - it's only about 4/5 miles or so south.

I'll add the new link/location as soon as I confirm with Alex. We've got a few days...
