Value of Cannondale replica team Saeco CAAD3 frame
i answered an ad on vraigslist - a guy emptying out his warehouse sold me this Cannondale SEACO frame + a Trek 3500 bike + a Trek 1420 road bike - all for $100.
I agreed as soon as I saw the frame, but would have agreed for the 1420 - it's all aluminum & light as a feather!
Besides the value of the Cannondale frame, I have 1 question - the ones I looked up have carbon forks, but mine has composite forks. Were they added later or a lower level offering?
Thanks for any help

???
Uh, I believe that is a carbon fiber fork by Kestrel. I don’t know the full history and ins and outs of that company, but I’d be happy to own a product of theirs! What’s the issue?
Nice frame too, btw.
Edit: and why the heck are people giving you these stupid ridiculous deals?! Wtf

Yes that’s carbon fiber fork. Not sure if it’s OEM to that frame. I’d say frame/fork/ headset worth $150, maybe $200

The fork is aftermarket. The early frames came with aluminum forks. After 99 or 2000 they came with Cannondale/Slice branded Time forks for a couple years.
You would have to check the serial number and catalogs on Vintage Cannondale to see what year it really is. My guess, it should have a Slice/Time fork. Nothing wrong with the Kestrel though. They were one of The upgrades to do. Kind of like buying Zipp or Enve 60 wheels now.
