After 23 days straight of riding the bike I decided to take today off and go for a little 5k run.
Back to the bike tomorrow

I dropped out of the Arhena club. Didn't think it was possible I weigh less than I did in high school and I'm 53.

Ultimate goal is to literally drop out of the Clydesdale club!!

The rain started 10 miles in, killing an otherwise great ride. Already had the tough parts behind me, but no reason to risk a fall on the razor thin Giant tires and slick, steep roads. Damn, that Defy 0 is one hell of a climber! Don’t think I’m gonna get much riding in this week, as the weather God has turned against me.

I'm 30 pounds lighter than I was in high school, then my peak weight was in high school. I'm close to my weight at 27, that's over 35 years ago.

I quit lifting weights, no more bulking up and only cycling now. I have been upping the mileage since I retired. Daily goal is minimum of 20 miles per day

Little rain yesterday, but I could have ridden .
I’m having an issue with the bone bruise on my lower shin that I suffered back on Halloween from my bike crash .
I’ve never really given it time to heal . It feels better today after two days rest .
weatherman is calling for rain tomorrow, so I’ll be taking that day off too .
Going to take it day to day to see if it won’t get better , along with the knees .My doctor says bone bruises take longer than breaks to heal .
Ten years ago it'd already be healed . After I passed 65 , things don’t heal quickly.
What is strange , i really didn’t notice the shin bruise right away and it’s the one that keeps lingering on .
I’ll be checking the thread daily.

Somewhat relieved when my Di2 battery decided it was too depleted to shift the front derailleur about a mile into my evening ride. Forced recovery ride.
