Raleigh fork compatibility questions

I was struck by a car while riding. The fork of my '83 Raleigh International MKII is mangled, but the frame is good. I'm looking for a suitable replacement fork (200mm steer tube length) - prefer to match quality of current fork or, better yet, upgrade. Current fork has 2 pairs of eyelets. I'm willing to get by with 1 pair.
I presume any English-threaded fork will work, but I thought I'd check first with the forum.
The main tubes of the frame are db Reynolds 531, assembled in Japan and I know it's unlikely I'll find an '80s International fork.
Would a similar vintage Super Course have similar fork tubing, or is it a step down from the International?
Are there any compatibility issues with older Raleigh forks?

Thanks for your help!

Will you be at ABCE in St Paul in September?

Bring the fork; maybe the blades can be replaced.

LBS says they can, but I assumed it's easier (cheaper) to find a fork than blades. Do you know a source?
I don't own anything made in England, so I haven't been to the ABCE yet.

Don't bother attempting to replace just the blades in the damaged fork. My guess is that the steering tube to fork crown experienced serious trauma also. Just get another fork.

I have a Super Course fork in The Old Shed at the moment but it is a bit longer in the steering tube than the OP would need. The fork would have to be threaded a bit more to fit.

Right crown socket appears warped.

A source for fork blades? Sure -- Nova Cycle Supply, CeeWay, Strawberry, lots of places.

I don't own anything made in England, so I haven't been to the ABCE yet.
Wasn't the Raleigh that is the subject of this thread made in England?

Besides, there's no cost or registration involved. Just show up at Barley John's.

The 1982 Competition Mk.II and International Mk.II models were Japanese subcontracted w/531, IIRC - same as the later Competition G.S. and Super Courses.

Most shops should be able to order you a quality road fork for 700c wheels with a 1" English-threaded steerer. Chances are it will work with your headset, too. Or you can see what you can find on ebay.

Unfortunately, I doesn't appear that the forks-with-eyelets are are available threaded.
It doesn't seam right that I should have to choose between a quill stem or fenders.
