40 minutes at 180ish watts on the left side of the bumpy rollers. Got sick of the noise. Still just practicing, 80 rpm is comfortable, 90 takes focus, 100 is outright difficult! Once I can do 100 cofortably I may be ready for an actual workout haha

Threshold intervals on trainer. Two more days and I can take my shoulder support off and ride a bike, but it appears that it will be pouring rain so I'll still be on the trainer.

It's a bummer that the weather has been great up until this week and I've missed so good outside riding time, but I've been maintaining some fitness with the trainer/zwift. It might be a couple more weeks before I venture into an early bird though.

1 very tired hour last night. Was thinking my legs would come around after 45 minutes or so...but nope. Recovery ride was hopefully effective..averaged something like 115 watts. Depending on work today, and how my legs feel tonight, may shoot for more sweet spot intervals.

It's a lot trickier to get my legs to have that flushed feeling indoors. I find when doing recovery sessions on a trainer, it helps to stop and stretch a few times.

1hr on the trainer (wtf???), recovery pace, maybe I'll stop and stretch a couple times per KP's suggestion. My legs are still stiff as hell from last week(s).

I'll probably throw in some OLP drills as well.

took tuesday entirely off to cry and look at the rain. Did 65min on the trainer, 1000kj in the first hour then 5min cooldown. the difference in 100kj/6min and 80kj/6min feels like more than 20% or 25%. From whichever way you look at it.

My ribs still hurt on occasion from my crash back in september. Primarily as regards sleeping on that side. Random thought I suppose.

Heading on vacation with the wife in a few weeks. I just realized I'm really looking forward to it. This has been a hard few weeks.

Oh the irony: I am in Hawaii, and riding the indoor Lemond spin bike, 2.5 hours on Tuesday, 2.5 hours on Wednesday. Using this time to spin, so all good.

I explored renting a bike while I'm away, and there's no way that it isn't a PIA. There's a good gym at my time share, with a spin bike and treadmills, and a spin studio around the corner.

Why would you be inside a gym when you're in Hawaii? Go hiking or ride up Haleakala if you need exercise.

If you are on Kauai, there is a good rental bike place in Poipu and a good riding in the area. A great ride up Wimea Canyon if you have the time. Enjoy Hawaii.

Thank you. That is precisely where I am, based in Poipu. I am going to the Canyon tomorrow for a hike and look around. I didn't bring my shoes and cleats. I think I saw the shop. Might stop in if I'm itchy. But, my mind was prepared for indoor before I left, so, I'm managing ok. The controlled spinning is good for me :-)

The hike is tomorrow. If I were in Maui, I'd rent and ride Haleakala. I don't have total control over my time as I am working. My rides are at the end of the day. Sunset is later, but, with 2.5 or more hours in the saddle, it is dark out when I'm done. However, were I aware of a good rental, yeah, I'd rent for a day or two.
