I dunno...the way I feel right now I am glad to see a cyclist get the last word and leave a lasting impression on an a-hole driver. Today I got buzzed once and another near-miss from a right-turning driver today. Yelling out FU's with passionate finger gestures just does not satisfy my need for justice. Got the license plate of the buzzer and stopped at the cop shop later to feel out my options. It comes down to evidence, or lack thereof, and I am not open to a he-said she-said consumption of my time.
I am +1'ing the cyclist in the video today.

Like I said on the other thread about this clip; on reviewing the clip it looks obviously staged. Got me the first time though.

Staged or not, still a bad idea.

I take the same routes just about everyday, definitely not into vandalizing a motorist's vehicle. The last two motorists that I reported to local law enforcement for extremely close passes, I still have on video, license numbers and all... no they said, I said, to worry about.

They were just reported and documented with local law enforcement.

Cars will always be able to come back and get you. The driver of that car was apparently very persistent about making his ride a struggle. If you can do this(as long as it is justified) and get away, more power to you. I know people that carry hammers for this sort of thing as retaliation.

Not a very compelling argument for "staged". It is just one poster's suppositions about what someone may have been thinking, no proof.

I must be having a 'moment'.

What exactly did he do? I thought I saw the cyclist kick the car, but I am not sure.

Maybe you're right. Maybe it isn't staged. But if not then my first comment on the other thread stands:
The cyclist in that clip is a first class jerk. It absolutely could not have been any more obvious that the driver was trying to change lanes to the left; and still the cyclist passes on the left. Unbelievable. Must be his first day on a brand new bike because he obviously has no clue how to read traffic. Hope he learns to ride before he hurts himself.

While I won't advocate doing what the cyclist did. But if you're going to do it, just don't get caught. What a mess traffic was, the one at the front of the mess needed to keep moving and since there was no blockage in his lane was entitled to his lane as right of way, the other's should've maintained enough distance to merge. And the one's with the lane blockage, they need to be the most cognizant and merge. There shouldn't have been that much stoppage. The cyclist, well to get by those idiots, FRAP probably is his best bet to get away from them before the traffic situation implodes ?

The cyclist was in the wrong and he asked for it. The silver car was trying to change lanes and was signalling the entire time and the black car refused to let him in and as soon as space cleared the idiot cyclist cut in and then wondered why he had the car coming into the lane.

I hope someone stomped on his wheels when he left his bike somewhere.
