flangehead,
It is an unfortunate issue but the problem is still about personal prevention, and only happens when we focus on Masks and other safety measures. Just my stoopid mind thinking here. Smiles, MH

What happened to the Comfort and Mercy? I think Mercy is still in LA, but at least earlier wasn't critical for COVID. I think Comfort left NY for greener pastures a while ago.

What a chaotic mess. And without extreme changes, it will only get worse.

It should be possible to transport patients from Houston to Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio, but they're likely all stressed.

New York was supposed to be splitting one ventilator for 2 patients at the peak.

On the bright side, President Trump promised to close the testing stations in Texas. Don't test, and there won't be the virus.

It looks like Monroe, Indiana isn't real high on the number of cases, but 26 dead out of 214, that's not good. Hmmm, at least one nursing home outbreak.

I have an acquaintance. Her husband works in disabled foster care, I think. She is overweight, diabetic, with poor circulation. She has insisted that the husband stay home essentially indefinitely. Try to separate from that extra level of familial risk.

Ugh! I haven't heard of this until now but, being from Wisconsin, nothing that happens in this state surprises me these days.

Yup, not surprised many Houston people here with the lalalala attitude even in small town Hondo. Iím thinking this ainít going to go well and it didnít. San Antonio major spike even Hondo went exponentially and yes that isnít that many as a count but mirrors what is really going on. Now I love Houston the Astros and the Texans but not the Rockets we got the Spurs lol. But I saw this coming and I hate being right but I was right.

It's a race to the bottom. Be warned FL is hard to beat when it comes to lowering the bar.

Somebody on another forum was just saying he doesn't wear a mask "because I don't want to, simple as that." Another guy pressed a little, and "it's an infringement of my rights as an American, it reminds me of gun control."

Ignorance is so widespread on so many levels, it's embarrassing.
Oh yeah, lack of social responsibility is right there as well.

Mighty sad story.
Nephew knew he was sick (but only a slight cough).
And now the two grandparents may well succumb.

Iím only worried about the Texas vs Florida prisoners put to death competition we canít lose it will be humiliating Now if Texas plays any Florida school in football we better win! Last week many people headed their way to the popular local river parks going lalalalalalalalalalalaala not social distancing or wearing a mask. Now look! One week later. l guess the ICU units being full or close to it is San Antonio and Houston is just a conspiracy played by crisis actors. Just get a few refrigerator trucks to keep the corpses from rotting. NY has been through this and the other states should have learned something on how NY handled it. Just now a some river parks are closing down to help keep this stuff in check. I will drink beer in my backyard and listen to my favorite bands and stay safe. Yes, I would rather be at the Austin area lakes this week having fun but the usual bash is canceled this year. Many of my friends have elderly family members and no one wants them to get sick and die. One has already died from Covid-19 in the Austin area. Young people think their indestructible and I get it I thought the same thing back then. Iím getting stir crazy....
