IRD Drillium replacement hoods
The design of these looks a lot like Ergopower G2, but of course if you were to try and fit those hoods, they would have the button slit.
I'm after a replacement hood, colored preferred but IRD can't offer any info. Anyone have an idea? It's not like in this day and age that they were original, most likely a cobble from Chinese tooling. I know it's a longshot.
Anyone?

I'm reminded of Tektro and Cane Creek SCR5.

Yes, very similar yet not quite it. CC and Tektro are much easier to source parts for. I asked IRD and Soma and they just scratched their heads. I doubt those guys even make trips to Asia for new things any longer! I might try some Hudz Gen 2 and see how they work, using Amazon Prime for easy return of course

Those look an awful lot like Tektro R200s, not the current Tektro RL340s...

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion but if anything those are in line with the Cane Creek and Tektro's as well.
Cheers

You are correct. Not the levers but the hoods. I'll search and see if there are any 'other than black' hoods available for those. Good eye

I see Cane Creek. Tektros are longer and not as well fitting. And I am surprised IRD is not more helpful if they were marketed by them. They have been most helpful to me with info regarding their freewheels.

They were just stymied, not like they were jerks or anything, just had no ideas and no leads. Didn't seem interested in typing more than a few words. Oh well. I can live with the black hoods.

A while ago, I found Chinese ZST levers for like $10.
The IRD levers are just rebranded ZST levers, either drilled or not drilled.
See if you can score them for the $10 price without the IRD branding.
