Another De Rosa year question!

Hi all,

As mentioned in the 41, I am incredibly stoked to have this bike returned to me. I bought it back in British Columbia probably around 1994 and built it up as a Frankenstein bike from parts that included companies I enjoyed and other bikes. It moved with me over the years and came to United States with me in 2000. I sent it to a friend of mine back in Canada around 2002 as it was sitting on my balcony and getting sun faded. She has mostly used it on the trainer or road on again off again since that time.

So after long last I’m finally going to get her back and plan to revitalize her including a paint job (Probably the same pink as in the pic), decals, and a proper group.

Any ideas what year she may have been built? With the Fork crown I’m thinking 1990 or thereabouts. I can’t remember which brake bridge she has but my friend is going to send me some pictures. The frame is SLX And the bike is a 53cm.

Cant wait to ride this again, I have so many fond memories!!

From what information the picture gives (fork crown, seatstay caps) 1990 would be a good estimation. Post more detail pictures and it might be possible to narrow it down. +/- 1 year is normal when dating De Rosas though.

Thanks! Waiting to get more detailed photos before the bike gets shipped back to me. I’m thinking of watching out for a 1993 to 1995 chorus group set for the rebuild
