Short ride, only 10 miles, mostly in DC. Several museums around Dupont Circle were having open houses, so I hopped from one to another. Also stopped in at a couple of galleries with good shows.

Did a 50 miler on Saturday. My two riding partners were on road bikes, but the 700x35Cs on my hybrid made my ride a lot more comfy on the chipseal.

Starting from south Fort Worth, we rode south to Crowley, west until we got around Lake Benbrook, then followed the lakeshore until we got to the Trinity Trail, followed that northeast to downtown Fort Worth for lunch, then back home. In the pic below you can barely make out the Fort Worth skyline, over the dam in between my riding partners.

A quick video on the trail just north of Lake Benbrook. Love the shady spots.

I did 40 miles on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath. A beautiful day for a ride, and I basically had the whole Towpath to myself!

"that's embarrassing..."

I signed up for You Tube yesterday and uploaded my first home movie.

https://youtu.be/A9bU08h6DDk

You can hear me say "that's embarrassing" at 1:38 when the little girl drops me like a bad habit. The video does not put me in a good light.

I can't figure out how to embed it.

Thanks for saying I was going good, but I was the slowest rider on the road that morning. I think I was a little out of shape due to a knee problem that forced me to work part time and (mostly) soft pedaling for almost a month (except when I see another rider ahead. ).

I had my trailer in tow. While I'm babbling incoherently about how hard I struggled to close the gap, she mentions the trailer. I reply "Yeah, that's my excuse." You can hear it rattling, it's noisy.

qmsdc15, my one and a half year boy REALLY liked your video!
He's into cars & bikes and he shouts "OOTOO" (car) and "TIIEETS" (bike) whenever he sees one.

That's "auto" and "fiets" for those of you who don't understand 1.5year old Dutch.

Another try. The first five minutes and the last five minutes of this morning's commute. Music by Keller Williams.

I decided to do the St Albans ride. I went all over the city. I love riding when there is a market day but too many cars try to run you over for overtaking in traffic. Monday is the Alban Way and then I'm back to Scotland.

qsmdc15- In the first video ("Morning Commute"), why don't you stop at red lights? Can't you get a ticket for running a red?

The first video was an example of how not to ride and the second is the correct way. Congrats on noticing the difference.

5 miles to the park with my daughters and a light trail. Then later a 20 mile solo ride through Lower Huron and Willow Metroparks on paved trails. Fantastic day for a ride. Hope to do a single track ride tomorrow.

Thanks. This is my daughter's first year on a grown-up bike, and also her first summer playing "real" softball. She's growing up so fast, and I love the bike rides to and from the park, just over a mile each way.

My daughter hasn't got a grown-up bike yet. We love riding along the river together and stopping for lunch, frisbee and badmitton
Not quite softball stage yet.

Out with the old, in with the new.

i took a ride from Reedsburg, WI to Sparta WI and back along the “400″ State Trail and Elroy-Sparta State Trail. This route was about 114 miles round trip after some biking in Sparta to get lunch. This was my first century of the season.

My ride from Sunday. I hadn't gotten around to editing the video until today. As youtube's time limit is 15min, I had to edit it down from a 45min video to a 14:20 video by making it a timelapse.

Last Sunday was Tour dem Parks in Baltimore.
Was doing the metric ride, but shortened it to 52 miles when the thunderstorms started rolling in.
