My understanding is that it's vaporware or at least not yet being offered. I'm guessing that's a phishing site trying to get you to enter your card info. Be VERY cautious.

OK so now that the kickstarter which raised 2 million usd has been posted so we have reason to believe it’s not a complete scam...
did anyone notice that the q factor increases by 16mm on each side? They claim that people cannot distinguish between mountain and road. I’m not certain this is true, especially if one tries to ride in typical road conditions with sharp, high cadence efforts. Some people claim Q factor matters a lot, some people claim it matters little. I think that most people can adjust to a range of Q factors if toe angle (cleat angle) and foot alignment (wedging) are adjusted. I have to wedge my cleats significantly, but I notice that riding with a slightly wider stance and slightly duckfooted can have a similar effect, but feels a bit weird.
The difference between dura ace and XTR can be as small as 14mm (148 to 162). So to increase from 148 to 180mm is a big jump in my opinion. That’s more than double.
Anyone have experience trying to ride really wide cranks in a road context?

True. I also think this would adversely affect pedal clearance when cornering. Considering that racers/aggressive riders are the key demographic for power meters (even at $180 or so), this is a significant disadvantage. I would want to know how much lean angle this would take away. Maybe I can simulate this and post some numbers.

I think you will be right. The DCR headline says "Backers will get Pedals" but I think it should be "Backers MAY get Pedals....but may get just the shaft!"
