Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No, but smoking a bong is funner than maintaining the integrity of your wheels.

I'd must make sure periodically that the hooks haven't worn through to bare metal. You put a lot more stress on them by riding them than by hanging a sub-20# bike by them.

I hang mine like that, and have never had a problem. I do watch for the rubber on the hooks wearing through. I also try to keep pressure off the spokes.

I threw it up there on the top left. I hate it up there hard to get to, but I don’t feel safe where it was. I use that bike mostly for rain anyways.

I put lilys bike the hole.

Too bad this is a "family forum." There is just too much low hanging fruit in that statement.

Break during today’s 25 mile ride. About 9 of which were dirt. So nice to have this place that I can ride to from my front door.

My day is done at 1400 hours today so I'll be getting a ride in. It's super sunny and kinda windy, I can practically feel the trails drying out from here. Hopefully wind speeds don't ramp up too much this afternoon.

"it will be fine" reminds me of when Mrs. GJ and I were watching "The Americans". Every time Philip and Elizabeth had to go out and do some evil deed for their KGB masters, leaving their two children at home alone, one of them would mention that, and the other would INVARIABLY say, "They'll be fine."

It got to be a joke between us, every time someone on a TV show or in a movie is about to do something dangerous and/or stupid, one of us will say, "They'll be fine." and the other will laugh.

I sometimes ask this myself.

Got back from Ohio near that location about an hour earlier. In Campbell County lost about 15 minutes in a backup for an accident that was on the other side of the road. SMH.

Too bad we couldn't have worked out a meetup. Maybe some day.
