Spotted this beautiful Elios bike today

Hi all

I spotted this beautiful Elios bike today whilst out in the sun in Paris and thought I would share it. I love the brakes and mechanisms. Anyone know where and when it is from?

Take care.
Gill

Looks like a modern "comfort" bike, cashing in on the "retro" look, to me. I'm not sure why anyone would put rod brakes on a modern bike.

I didn't touch it. The security guard was watching me suspiciously.

I didn't realise there was such a thing as new old bikes. How can you tell (apart from them being shiny)?

That’s an Italian bike. Tipo R brakes. Rod brakes that work. They just keep making these things, shows up every few years under different names. The design is frozen in stone. They ride very well.
