New rider here. Do I do good?
So I have always been interested in Road Biking. My neighbor had a bike that he was going to sell and asked me if I would want it. He said I could have it for 650.00, So I jumped on it and figured this would be a great time to get started. I have now been riding it for about 2 months and have done several 20-30 mile rides. Everything works like it should and the bike fits me great (My neighbor and I are about the same size). But anyway I wanted to get your thoughts on my "Deal". I don't know exacts, but here goes.
2016-17ish Focus Cayo (Carbon)

Use a little imagination. It used to be that newbies figured out for themselves that all they had to do was post the pic to a hosting site, put the URL in the plain text of their message and change the "." to " dot " and maybe a few other things to obfuscate that it's a URL. Not trying to beat you up per se, but since the corona virus, newbies have been a little slow to figure this out. <grin> I guess it's just difficult in these times to find good quality newbies. <grin> My apologies for poking too much at you. Just some friendly ribbing at your expense. Finish your beer and I'll poor you a scotch and drink it for you.
As for the bike, if it fits, and rides nice, don't worry if it's a good deal. I certainly wouldn't have paid that much. Sounds like the bike was a upgraded from a Tiagra model with pieces parts of better groups sets. So if you subtract what that person paid to upgrade it, then you probably got a deal and just paid him the cost and perhaps a tad more for the upgrades.
But like I said, if it fits and rides nice, it's a good first bike. Save for a new one later when you find out after many miles what your next bike needs to work better for you.

There are a few of those bikes on eBay
Costing up to $1,200 so I think you did pretty well. Most importantly if the frame fails you know where the previous owner lives ...

Thanks Guys. I had to wait 24hrs to post. But thank you for your input. I am happy with the bike and it got me into the sport relatively cheaper than buying a new bike not knowing whether or not cycling was for me. I have already learned a lot to use if and when I buy a new bike.

But by the time that first sip made it down, it had changed flavor and aroma a couple dozen or more times. Really interesting drink. Sadly, I didn't realize it was a limited run and would never be again. Since finishing that bottle years ago I haven't found another quite like it. But I'll keep looking!

been to many an Ardbeg open house in nyc area.
brand ambasssdor made it on website in kilt many moons ago.
