2x20 @ 86%, made myself do it tonight at 9:30, i couldn't really stand having another non-riding day, totally worth it. I also got an A/C for my basement, totally better experience

the past few weeks haven't exactly gone as planned and this week doesn't appear to be bucking that trend.
recovery commute yesterday, broke a chain on my fg so had to walk home (~15 minutes) to get my road bike. late for work, great way to start the week.
had two a days planned today with 10*2' in the morning followed by form sprints in the evening. dragged my ass out into the rain this morning (i hate the rain) only to slice my tire. to add insult to injury my spare tube had a hole in it. thankfully i was right next to my office when it happened.

just spend 50mins in a zwift race @ 92% (235w) might go back for another round of z2 before I have to take my car to have a hitch installed (going to get a hitch rack for our bikes since we're apparently a biking family now!)

I need to do a 20-minute test and see where my legs and this powermeter actually meet. I have a feeling my ftp is set high right now.
I guess need is a strong term in that I'm not planning an actual test. Ignorance is bliss, sometimes.

Had a good "Off" week in DC. Rode a lot less then I normally do, and a lot easier since all the riding was with the GF. Then I went out with her and a few friends on Sunday with three KOMs in mind, basically rode with everyone at Z1/ Z2 pace and hit the KOMs, took all three. Set new 5 minute and 2 minute power records. Good day.
Apparently lazy weeks are good. Whoda'thunk?

Lunchtime Crit today - attacked to bridge up to the break on the last lap, thought they were fading but really they were up to some cat-n-mouse stuff so I worked harder than I should have after I got there. Brought a teammate up to one of the guys in the break, his buddy starts to sprint early and I take the bait, then the other two launch past me.
12 min Over-under sets tomorrow, but does it count if the 'unders' are actually at threshold? :|

I went really slowly. At some points I went a little faster because of gravity, and at other points I went a little slower also because of gravity. But overall it was not fast and I feel recovered.

The usual. 3.5 hours on the commute this morning with the VO2 thrown in. Went better than expected considering how exhausted I was yesterday.
Planning on 4 hours over the hills and up the coast with some threshold in the morning.

Just a short hour this morning, since I have to go in to work early. TSS of 82, and a VI of 1.23. Gotta get the VI work up after the crit results from Saturday.

Any easy 30 minute spin followed by some weights. Taking this week way easy and going to enjoy the 4th then back to the grind! It's funny how much better i feel by just lifting some weights (non-legs focused).. trying to keep my climber physique at bay as long as i can!

Saturday group ride stung and got dropped after pulling for a good 10 mins or so, had to ride back with headwind. Yesterday wanted an easy ride so my two friends show up and before i know it, i'm pulling at 200w..Today 4/5 & 3/4 crits, we'll see how legs respond.

For elevensies, I consumed a large piece of cinnamon toast, a scone, a Naked protein drink, a yogurt parfait, and a bag of chips.

I was about to pat myself on the back for doing a time-crunched 2x15 at 100% (255w) but now I just feel inadequate lol

2.5 hard hours.. hit some climbs to start and set a new 8min power record at 325w. Then did my best to stay on the wheel of a few cat1/2s over rolling terrain on the way home. felt great on the bike, took a huge nap after and woke up with sore legs!
Looking like this week will be my biggest of the year so far, 12-15 hours depending on how the next few days go.
