Paint care for painted carbon fiber bike

Just checking. If you have a painted carbon fiber bike there's nothing special about paint care, polishing, waxing, etc. right? It's just paint and unless you're really going crazy, what's under it doesn't matter to what products and processes you use for cleaning and waxing. Right? (I swear I checked the internet and Bike Forums).

Even if it's clear coated only, the clear coat (which is probably a two part epoxy paint) can be looked after the same way any bike that has been clear coated.

You are not polishing the carbon fiber itself.

I like using 3M helicopter tape to protect vulnerable sections like the downtube. Works well and can't tell its on when applied correctly
