The close call (fictional)
It was a beautiful country morning when it happened. I was riding along and enjoying all the wonderful scenery and spring blossoms along the road. Suddenly, after only about a half hour, I came upon another vehicle. Hmmm, there was a lot of traffic congestion that day. Well believe it or not there was a lot of **** coming onto the road from that vehicle. I kept having to swerve to miss it all. Some **** would drop from the right of the vehicle so I’d swerve left. Then some **** would drop from the left side of the vehicle so I’d swerve to the right. It was the same old **** over and over again. Finally I saw my opportunity and passed them! They were actually going fairly slow. It can be really ****ty getting stuck behind an Amish horse drawn wagon.

Thing is...I am a big city person. I have ridden in Amish country plenty of times in several states and have had to share the road with buggies and deal with their "leftovers." Sometimes they have manure catchers.

A MUP I sometimes ride has a stable that uses the path. I worry a lot more about spooking a horse.... than hitting a patty.
