1974 Raleigh International value, opinions?
Hi all. I'm looking for opinions on this 1974 Raleigh International. It seems kind of rough to me, but maybe it would clean up okay. It's about 70 miles away so I'm debating about weather to go look at it or not. What do you think of his asking price?
Thanks in advance. TW

Difficult size to find...I would look at it if it was here in L.A. it's is more than a fair price if all original and no dents..best of all it is OBO.
Good Luck all they can say is no.

...there are not that many International's remaining with decent chrome, Nervex lugs, and most of the original components.
Of the ones that show up, the majority are priced much higher than that one. So if it's your size, and you really want one (a Raleigh International), it would be a shame to let it go by.
Most of them got bought up and stripped of the components, which were resold on e-bay. Which might also happen to this one.
I think you'd be very surprised at what the hubs, crank, and derailleurs on that bicycle sell for, even in today's down market.
But I not one of the guys here who tracks that stuff, so I could be wrong.
