Last I heard he was still building, but I have no first hand knowledge.

Please let let us know if your friend is successful in making contact.

Della Santa = a most worthy addition.

I have been told that he is more of a phone call guy than an e-mail guy.

bigbossman would be the way to contact him.

C&V folks did have a few drinks with him at NAHBS Austin.

Then the Girls Scout leader came by, sent the kids upstairs, and showed us her tattoo.
Not sure I paid much attention after that, scurrying back to my hotel room to stay out of trouble.

As an alternative you can look into this. Jake Barrett, learned under Della Santa and just recently started his own shop, in Vegas or Reno I believe. Chatted a little with his proud papa at Eroica Cali. This is a pic of his Dad with I think the first frame out of his new shop.

^ I also had a chance to chat with Jake’s dad and ogle his gorgeous bike. A Barrett is definitely worth pursuing.

A DS is on my want list, but the Barrett sure looks sweet. Does Jake Barrett have a website? The googler only turns up the pitcher.
