Stick to HT or switch to FS?
Hey all,
I currently ride a 2015 Scott Scale 750 (HT 27.5) and have been thinking about switching to a FS. There is a used 2012 Scott Spark Expert 29er for sale for $1450. I’m wondering if it’s worth it for that price (or negotiate lower)or should I save a little more and go for something newer?
TIA

With all the changes to mtbs, 2012 almost seems ancient. If it's the same specs that I pulled up, it's probably still on QR hubs with a short top tube and reach along with a super steep head tube angle compared to today's standards. For 1500 you can get a decent 3 year old bike with alot of the new standards including better brakes and a larger gear range.
