Leader LD-720TT
Hello all, I am a new member to the forums and generally to riding.
I am looking to build a fixie, now I can of course purchase a frame if needed but my uncle has a frame he offered me, a Leader LD-720TT. Now here is a picture of it:
Is this frame at all possible to work with or turn into a fixie?

Due to vertical dropouts, you'll need either a white industries ENO eccentric rear hub OR a special combination of rear cog and front chainring teeth for a "magic gearing" that provides sufficient chain tension.

it will also be a much nicer frame with an ENO eccentric white hub than anything else you'd get for free plus a wheel with an eno...

I was thinking about it, I may build this one with gears and purchase or see what else my uncle has lyin around, something with horizontal dropouts hopefully.

It would make a rad single-speed too. Building it up geared would be awesome but also quite expensive.

True, but even on the used market a decent groupset could set you back $4-500 pretty easily. And then factor in labor cost for the build (unless you have a hookup).

I thought i saw recently that ENO hubs on aluminum frames == chewed up dropouts.

Please build this up geared. You can easily do it for $500, and it would be a way better bike, I think.

That one seems a little oddball, what with the flat bars and canti brakes, but I do see some sets on that site that I would definitely consider.

Their road frames don't make them enough money. People who want to build up ****** road bikes just don't shop at Leader.
