Changing bottom bracket to a cartridge unit?
I'm thinking of changing the bottom bracket on my 85 Sequoia to a cartridge unit but I'm not sure what I need.
The shell is 68 mm and the spindle is 114.5mm but as near as I can tell the drive side is 4mm longer than
the non drive side. Here is a photo of the spindle.

Is there another mark on it such as 3-S, 3-P etc?

Here's a different chart that lists your size.
Basically, you want to match up the DS since the FDER is related.
NDS, do the best you can.
Looks like a 113 or 117 are your options.
Your FDER must be capable of the additional 1.5mm of travel, so you might want to select the one that "centers" best with your FDER.
Also, if going shorter, that the chain ring doesn't rub the stay.
