It's a rare occasion that I manage to take a decent close-up picture. It's usually the background that's nicely in focus.

So when I do, it's art in my scheme of things. I actually managed it twice last year.

Not entire bikes either, but on most of my bikes, these would be "most of the bike". The bell, BTW, is screwed directly into the stem, not clamped onto it. All Herse-like.

It doesn't take much to make me happy.

This may not be obvious to anyone except me, but I intend for most of my non-garage door pics to be artsy. Sometimes I succeed.

It's embarrassing to me that I got a shot this good with a Steyr Clubman, but thanks to @CliffordK it's not even the first Clubman in this thread.

This is from a McKenzie Pass ride. The backdrop looks kind of fake to me, but it isn't.

MUP bridge? No, it's my back deck.

KORF (King of the Rickety Fences)

The pics below were taken by a friend with better photography skills than I have (though I think he sometimes gets carried away with the post-processing).

Mine was only a half a Clubman... I don't think that counts.

Pretty pictures!!! I do try to do a few unique photos, but not always successful mixing bike and background.

This photo was taken today in Wimbledon, London. The artwork is by Louis Masai. It features two sparrows which for many years was the most common bird in the UK and known for its birdsong. According to the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) there has been an drastic decline in the UK sparrow population, recently estimates suggest numbers have fallen by 71%.

The text 'It's oh so quiet' is originally a 1955 song by US artist Betty Hutton, and it was covered in 1995 by Icelandic singer Bjork, and signifies how much quieter the UK will be if we lose so many of our iconic songbirds. Amongst humans, the natural sounds of birdsong have been linked to improved mental and emotional health. It’s been said that hearing birdsong allows us to connect with the natural world.

The pic also features my Simoncini which I have just rebuilt in a full garish build that is anything but quiet.

Garishly artistic on the Simoncini.
