Superior Rotor: SRAM Centerline or Shimano RT66?

Any thoughts? Both are the same price. I'll be replacing a Tektro rotor.

Also have access to a reasonably priced Ice Tech RT86.

AFAIC, a rotor is a rotor, unless it's an IceTech. The pricepoints on a lot of these stamped SS rotors is frankly appalling. They make the IceTech look downright thrifty by comparison.

Agreed. Unless there is a problem with heat warp and the need for added thickness is necessary, why change rotors?

So in that case unless it's an Ice Tech, I should get a Chinese replacement, which is 1/3 the price of the Shimano or SRAM even when those are on sale. For how long is a rotor expected to remain true from normal riding assuming no direct hits?

It should remain true forever. Excess heat is what causes warping. If the rotor warps, you simply need a bigger rotor.

Yes. If it's not Ice-Tech, or at the very least a floating disc, any ol' Chinese junk is just as good.

Don't waste your time with resin pads or "resin only" rotors. Junk.
