Sailing is even worse than cycling when hoping for good weather. Sailing you want no rain, windy, and not freezing. Since this time of year the wind usually comes with the rain, it's tough to find.

Tomorrow would be a great day for a sail. 60 degrees and 20 mph winds. Unfortunately tomorrow is a Wednesday.

A guy I ride with is going through something similar. He doesn't talk about, but we were chatting about how much we all hated the trainer on day and I asked how he was able to hop on the trainer and then go have a beer at a bar everynight when he has a 1 year old son. He said "I have my own place now downtown." I left it at that and he didn't say anything else.

I almost had my own place. Or something to that nature.
I'm glad it never came to that. But I secretly wonder what my life would be like alone. And I secretly respond; quite boring and lonely.

It can get a little boring here sometimes so I try to find funny crap to keep me occupied.
I've been going through memebase stuff. Some of it's pretty immature. Some of it is pretty witty.
I'll lol on occasion.

Racers drink rum. Pusser's Pain Killers out of a five gallon bucket are delicious.

Pusser's is definitely the racer's choice. Hell, it's the sailer's choice period.

I'm in about $3k all told for sailing right now. That includes the trailer, drysuit, all the gear, spare sail, boat, etc.

Half the guys in the 41 spent more than that on their last bike. I wish I was bourgeois.

crud. I make it all off season without injury or getting sick only to catch a cold a week before VOS. Antibiotics destroy me, any suggestions from the masses?

Try all you want, but sailing is an upper crust (some may even say waspy) endeavour

Road racing, on the other hand, is associated with teenagers wanting a way out of working in the Flemish coal mines
