Detel bicycles were made in Green Bay Wisconsin for a short time in 1985.
The lugged frame uses Ishiwata 022 triple butted tubes (.9-.6-.9 mm) from Japan

Check this out, seller in Vermont said he was tired of all of the French measurements, put a Raleigh Professional Fork in a Le Champion! Deal is for the frame only but a deal. I wonder how he found such a nice fork, 531 forks expensive on their own.

This one belongs to BF member Catnap. He did the repaint himself and chronicles it in a thread somewhere. Real world testament to how a repaint can devalue a frame because this has been available for a long time and is less than anything you'll see on eBay. Shame too because it is flat out gorgeous.

I was recently offered a perfect condition 1980's Cinelli which I did not buy because it has now become a wall hanger. It has been unused for over 30 years and will likely remain so forever.
I would be a likely buyer for this repainted 3Rensho if I haven't already acquired 3 bikes in the last three months. I would like to first enjoy riding these recent acquisitions.

For reference I had a buddy who is in the market for a bike call this guy within 4 hours of it being posted originally. He asked my friend if he wanted to beat the best off he had currently. My friend sadly didn't have $420 necessary to take this bike home.
