Great bike and a pretty good deal whith the pump and pedals included figure and extra $150 in value. While a little aged it is rare to see a nicer 65 bike complete and original with original correct looking setup. Most of the ones I have seen have been totally screwed up over the years to the point that they can not be properly restored at a reasonable price. This one looks basically ready to go.

Couldn't have said it better myself, zukahn1. There were only a few hundred Paramounts made in 1965. Gotta get one now cuz they aren't making them anymore.

Yes typical condition for a mid to high early 60's under $1000 looks something this 64 Gitane that I got cheap basically free from the locally bike coop.

Spent about 40hrs+ labor and $200+ attempeting to restore it basically screwed half of it up and sold it for less than value.

So if you can find one of the several thousand total high end ten speeds sold in the early 60's in this type condition expespecially a nicer Paraomount in a choice colour for under $1000 one got a fair to great deal.

If it is a '65 then it must have been repainted at some point since Opaque Blue wasn't offered until 1972 (through '74). The seat mast decal also looks like a later version (in '65 it would have said "Arnold, Schwinn & Co."). The stem looks like '72 or later as well. Are you really sure it's a '65?

This looks like a '80 Trek 710 with Campy bits. I restored a Campy touring version you can see here:

Trek road bike, Flat bars, late 1970's? - $210 (Asheville)

https://asheville.craigslist.org/bik/4274156455.html

I think this is a late 1970's trek road bike that someone swapped over to flat bars. Smaller inner front chain ring to help on these mountain roads. Appears mostly original, except for the bars and brake levers. Not positive on year..

Serial number is W98 which makes it a 1965. It may have been repainted in the early 70s. I've only seen the same pics as everyone else. RD and brakes are not original. I'll post pics after I receive it Saturday.

You are correct re the seat tube decal. It is not period correct.

Santana makes single (non-tandem) bikes? apparently really nice ones.. owner says the frame is all fillet brazed, and the components are the super rare campy mtb centaur group..

Looks like a 410-- that's an Ishiwata sticker on the seat tube. Still a decent, though not screaming, deal. Don't see any Campy.

[h=2]rare 70's Eddy Merckx 10-speed (Somerville)[/h]

one of the earliest Eddy-branded bikes, probably made by Falcon, before he had his own co. Cool retro white walls, Suntour VX parts; a few paint flakes and some light rust but quite light and fun to ride, still works fine. $150.

[h=2]1972 Italian Leri Mirella - $400 (Cary)[/h]

Selling this 1972 Italian touring bike, 54cm. This is a very rare find, though not quite up to Bianchi of that period it is a great riding bike. Beautiful lug work and full Campagnolo. Paint is old and has some rub spots but frame is in great condition. Decals are fair. Original leather Avocet saddle. Bike must not have been used hardly at all as everything is original and has most of its life left. It needs so minor restoration ( cables, cleaning) it is ready to ride as is with new tires. Asking $400 and will accept a reasonable offer but no need to sell so no low ball offers please. If not sold soon I will begin restoration and price will increase accordingly.

A quick google search yielded this: https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/berardi-bikes.127770/
Looks like a small Italian maker. That bike as it sits is worth about the asking value, so if it fits and it's local to you, go for it. I'd love to have a bike that had my name on it.
