Over 100 year old antique bike - $500 (san rafael)

If you see this I still have it

I have a super rare great western crown bicycle from 1898-1918ish . I know very little about the bike since its so hard to find info on it. I know it was made by Great Western Manufacturing Company / crown bicycle.21" frame It has a lot of patina with dark blue paint. The down tube to the head tube has been repaired long ago, adds to beautiful wonder of the old bike. antique troxel leather bike seat. Skip tooth chain. The tires are brand new and wheels are off a newer 50-60s 26" muscle bike. original wheels must have been 28" wood rims ( I don't have them). It's ready to ride and is a great eye catcher everyone asks you about it and just think of the story's it could tell over 100 years old $500

Trek 2100 - $150 (Charlotte)

Good deal for a composite carbon fiber frame with Shimano 105 group. I'm surprised a bike mechanic wouldn't list the frame material and quote the size wrong (inches). Frames came in 56 and 58cm and others that year - no 57 cm. Specs. on Bikepedia.com

https://charlotte.craigslist.org/bik/4286245605.html

Map
I have a 1993 Trek 2100 for sale. It is a 57"inch frame. I am a bicycle mechanic and this bike has been completely rebuilt. The list is as follows:
The wheel hubs have been replaced with new ball bearing, repacked with grease and adjusted.
The bottom bracket and chain have been replaced.
Both derailleurs have been removed from the frame. They were inspected, cleaned, greased and adjusted. The derailleurs are old Shimano 105.
New Jag wire cable housing and Shimano cables.
The head set was inspected,re-greased and adjusted.
The paddle shifters were inspected and greased
The bars have been re-wrapped with new cork bar tape. The tape is colored black.

The frame is in awesome shape. The fork its self has a scrape on the right side.
Any questions regarding this bike please feel free to E-mail me.

That's probably true for sure, but there could be a hidden gem in there that the guy threw in there never knowing that it was a sought after vintage bike...but I rather think that would be highly doubtful.

[h=2]Vintage 1970s Brooks Leather Road Bike Ten Speed Saddle - $85 (Cary)[/h]

Very nice authentic vintage 1970s Brooks Racing Leather Saddle Made in England Model B17. This saddle is in excellent aged condition. It was original equipment on a vintage early 1970s Raleigh road bike. I have not treated it with leather preserver yet and will leave that to the new owner. Brooks saddles are sought after due to their long lasting durability and vintage styling. It includes the storage pouch attached also. I am asking 85.00 for it. Please email if interested. Thank you!

Anyone ride a 53?

This looks like a sleeper. Still has some Campy hanging off her. Only if I was a foot shorter...

[h=2]Vintage Dutch Town Bike Union Tally Classic - $250 (SW Orlando - Dr Phillips)[/h]

Classic 60's or 70's Dutch Town Bike in excellent all original condition esp. for it's vintage! Been tuned up and is in ready to ride away condition!!! Step through frame is good for taller gal and becoming popular for older guys who no longer are flexible enough to easily kick that leg up and over the top bar but still love to ride.

Tally Classic Model Made in Holland by Union - A few so called experts believe it's either a 60's or 70's vintage (more likely 70's in my opinion)

57cm Seat Tube - suitable for taller gal or average size guy
Working light with generator
Fully enclosed chain case so you could wear a dress or suit ridding this to work plus less maintenance needed for the chain
Large 28" Wheels for comfortable ride (tires still have life in them)
Single speed with coaster brake for simplicity
Comfy springed saddle
Original rear rack with hooks for bags
Rear fender has factory drilled holes to install skirt guard if wanted
Two other very neat features are; 1) built in solid bar rear wheel lock w/ key 2) built in full standing stand that easily snaps into place while riding
It's in fabulous condition with nice chrome, original paint & graphics (decals), no dings, dents and only a few minor scratches or paint chips

Beautiful bike for a collector, for a Sunday ride or for the daily commute!!! Not only would you be riding in style but it's a smooth riding machine.
Conveniently located close to Universal, Sea World & Disney Theme Parks.

Hmmmmm....and odd size package from here (60053 - I'd ship from work via UPS) to PA, I'd guess $80-$100 but I'd see if any shipping gurus chime in that have done this before. I am only guessing based on weight and what I see shipping car parts all over the US.

You could certainly do it for $80 to $100. It might be possible to get it in a small enough box for $65, but I think that would be about the lowest the bottom line is going on this one.

^^^ And man, what a great bike! My '85 Trek 600 is probably my all time favorite, even if it doesn't have any Dura-Ace on it.

If I was a fanatic, I'd buy this thing and pay up the nose for shipping, because the paint is clearly a lot better than on mine.

D@mn. Why did I ever have kids? And why did they have to be smart enough to go to college?

Fedex ground is going to be the cheapest. If you know the box dimensions, you can use their online price calculator. For a 50 x 30 x 8 from Chicago to eastern PA is about $50, but for such a large bike, getting it into a 50" box would be tight, especially with the wheels. Add ten inches for a 60" box, and the price is $120, so it's all about getting the box as small as possible.
