I'm with janfran; I like using this one too, especially if I'm gonna overhaul and flip.

I do wish folks would take into account the price/value before posting. $1000 Raleigh Pro? Come on.

It was not uncommon to find Paramounts from the '70s like that. "Gimme your best bike but make it comfortable for me to ride."

+1, you'd think the bike would need anti-rejection drugs.

Miyata 610 touring bicycle, 64cm - $500

bicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: road
frame size: 64 cm
wheel size: 27 in
Miyata 610

1983 Japanese touring bicycle

64 cm frame – suitable for riders 6’ or taller

1024 Chromoly steel

27 x 1-¼ inch tires

This is a rare, vintage touring bicycle known for its high-quality frame and comfortable ride. Very few of these are still available, and even less in this excellent condition. Taller riders will also appreciate the difficulty of finding a frame that fits like this does. Its road-absorbing qualities and durable construction result in a great commuter bicycle, although it’s designed for extended trips. It rides well with the front and rear racks fully loaded. Just put on panniers, and you’re ready to go!

This is the product of a restoration project. Nearly all components are original. It was always stored indoors. I’ve included the original seat which has a repaired tear (see picture), although I image that you’ll want to install your favorite saddle anyways.

New components:
---handlebar tape
---brake pads
---cables (brake and shift)
---3 aluminum water bottle cages
---steel pedal cages with leather straps
---6061 aluminum front rack (Blackburn)
---wireless bicycle computer (Cateye)

Also includes spare parts for extended tours:
---4 new inner tubes
---1 new axle
---2 new brake cables

I’m asking $500 cash or best offer. Selling at a loss to clear space for new projects. Thank you for your interest!

All the price tells me is whether or not I can afford the bike. I have no idea what most of them are worth to other people.

There's a real possibility that this is a Pepe Limongi (French framebuilder that worked inhouse Fraysse).
If not him, it's someone's handwork.

Nice!
I've heard there were a couple of notable framebuilders working there in the 70s & 80s, but I only knew about Limongi.

Seems rare you ever see these pop up anymore, or maybe I'm just not looking frequently enough.

Anyway, if you work with cottered bikes and would love to have a 2-minute solution to press-out/press-in cotters, VAR07 in nearly mint condition (stickers still intact) on the 'bay right now. $150 OBO before shipping. I'd kick out an offer for $120, and it would put this well within value-versus-price territory. But I doubt it'll last very long at the current ask price.

Interesting looking old Mercier. Not sure of the model, ad claims a Reynolds frame but I don't see any frame tube decals to confirm. Suntour GT would have been mid-range parts, and cottered crank seems strange if it was a Reynolds frame.

Good condition, though.

Mercier vintage French road bike - $220 (NE Seattle)

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/b...204566016.html

Mercier vintage French road bike (c1970's), in good cosmetic and working condition. Seat tube is 20", top tube is 22" and standover height is 29 1/2". Lugged with Reynolds tubing frame, note - 24" rim diameter wheels are not original. 10-speed, quick release alloy hubs, good tires, cottered chrome crank set with matching pedals. Every component is original except for the wheels. If you are interested please call and leave your name and number.

Bike is smol. The juy simplex dropout is probably the key to determining if it's a 300 or a lesser model.

I don't see any Reynolds decal, plus these graphics look much more like a "100" or perhaps a "100-plus" or "200" than any all-531 "300" IMO. And how can 24" wheels fit, and at least the rear brake make pad-contact, if this was originally fitted with 700C rims, that's a big difference!
Also, no way this is "working condition" with how that front brake is currently adjusted! Asking for a face-plant!

Avocet Bicycle?

Avocet - Touring II - $250 (Edina)

Advertised as an "Avocet Touring II" bicycle, I'm pretty sure he is referring to the saddle. $250 for what looks like a premium frame with canti-brakes and touring braze-ons? Sign me up!

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/bik/d/minneapolis-avocet-touring-ii/7202426419.html

Oh, never mind... he says it's sold. Missed it by that much!
