Cycling in NYC
At the end of August I'm moving into New York City (Queens to be exact). I've gotten used to the country roads that are not too far away from my house now, and was wondering if any of you on the forums ride in (or around) NYC. Where do you go?

so much, so, so, much
a search will bring you detailed history that will include central park, prospect park, kissena for track, the west side path, over the GW up to piermont, and on and on.
since you will be in queens, there is also the ride along the LIE service road out to places that take you to westbury and oyster bay.
enjoy.

Plenty of us ride, live, eat, breathe (ewww) NYC.
One thing you'll find is less people heckling you while you ride down the road since everyone's so used to bikes.

I do a lot of riding with a club. I assume there are bike clubs in the city also. Any suggestions/web sites for clubs?

Two bits of advice:
1. get a big lock
2. all car doors; parked, stopped at a light or in a jam, and even some moving have the potential to open into your path
