Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's happening to the weather?

I never seen such a rainy, windy spring, and that's coming on the tailend of a really wet winter. In the last couple of weeks I've spent more time on BF than riding (and there hasn't even been any thing interesting happening on BF). I expect all of the NW USA and BC are having the same weather. I'm determined to get out today, even if it is windy with rain on the way. I just can't face another week of work without some riding on the weekend.

How are you coping?

Global Warming at its finest. If everybody rode their bike instead of drove their car, the weather would get nicer.

See Al Gore's new movie or read his book, "An Inconvenient Truth". BTW it's been raining and windy here all day also. But I did get to climb Mt Ventoux this morning!

Well, here in the mid-Atlantic coast we are experiencing an extremely dry spring... Only about 50% of our normal rainfall total, and fairly cool weather as well...

It's been in the mid to high 90's in Northern California. Riding early before it gets too hot.

It's George Bush's fault. He is letting the big corporations control the weather. Blockbuster, NetFlix and yes BikeForums have huge weather controlling stations in Alaska.

Hmmm. No rain here either. A matter of fact no rain for the last 40 days. Plenty of wind.

I've lived in Toronto for 22 years and the last 5 have been unlike anything I ever experienced here.

Yes I heard that guy and he is nuts! Chinese government, right! Those that are in the know, know that Bush is behind this, along with the companies I have mentioned. Oh and he is reading your mind via the CIA satellite so make sure you wear aluminum foil under your hat when you ride.
