Velogames Superclasico 2021 & other Fantasypalooza races without a home
I got the late VG notice, whipped a quick team into shape, and came here to grab the league code.
WTH ooga-booga ? I found slackery and whinging! I hope you're well and hope to see all my friends and foes on the virtual roads of battle.

*shrugs* haven't been riding much. january was big...february, not so much. march...who knows. back to the grindstone workwise as of late and the
attention span/stamina isn't what it once was. a big thank you to slcbob (surviving another nuclear winter and) putting the pedal to the metal and picking up the
baton i dropped in the transfer zone on the 400 m relay sprint.
there is also paris-nice in the separate game...
*edit* only participant in either game at this point. i think carole king wrote a song or two about this. maybe it was janis ian...

5 PCS stars on that swashbuckling rainbow boy but Madouas is on my team.
I slapped a Paris-Nice team together, too. It looks like a lot of stuff gets bundled into the season long tourapalooza tally on VG.
GrainBrain happy spring! Just a quick skirmish today in Superclasico but we'll be peering into Helm's Deep before too long and it will be time to unleash the fury. I hope Mithrandir appears on his horse to boost ooga-booga back on his bike. No pressure on the predictions; the horrible will find its way.

Whoops those pesky hobbits had me lounging and eating so I missed the White Road but got locked into Super Classico and Paris Nice.

Kind of glad I didn't have to pick for strade bianchi What a field. You know I really want to see GVA take one? He's been there in the front just can't quite get that result. Maybe it's just the glint off the helmet? Oh maybe EF can get an early result that would be nice.

As live television pictures start, the first image presented is of the aftermath of a crash, with American champion Alex Howes (EF Education-Nippo) one of three riders sitting on the roadside.

Yup, this is pretty much like I remember it. 3 clear favorites in the race. Velobucks constraints meant, to pick some legit value folk with a decent top 10 chance, I could only pick 2 of the 3. The one I didn't pick won.
Heck, poor Tom Dumoulin couldn't even show up for the season after I cursed him with a nod on my team last year.

Well, heck. Creating a league doesn't join you to it. I might have known that 5+ years ago but I've been slacking while ooga-booga did all the leaguery grunt work. I have remediated and am now in.
The relentless beat of Superclasico ticks on. Another race tomorrow. Don't forget to enter. This sucker will wear you down, sort of like a bike race. You can't win it tomorrow in GP Industria & Artigianato, but it's possible to lose it.

hence my spring classics post that no one responded to but apparently a few read. "slackery and whinging" indeed.
i'm still on the hook for hosting the 3 grand tours in whatever shape, form or fashion they roll this year. and yes, i'll also post non-fantasy
applicable gt race threads for those that don't want to sully their freshy manicure yet comment on another course moto/dog crashing out their fave rider.
slcbob...if you like, i can help co-sponsor here and there. 35 races...even if only half go off w/o being canceled...is a bit of commitment.

I take the mantle of hospitality with less weight and resolve. Arguably approaching disdain. But not so much disdain that I further sullied your abdication thread.
I see the little code, 398952811, works like it used to across the various games. There's a little block of us waiting patiently while the lads pedal away in the race to the sun. And wherever the heck that other Superclasico race is. And George has already threatened to open up the spring classics. What a sweat shop. I understand your concerns, ooga-booga . There may be people plucking chickens for a living that have better work conditions than what's in store for anyone who aims to provide a concierge experience here.
Thanks for the spot, one4smoke . It may not be the last one we need.

With my spot next to the broom wagon in Paris Nice, I have a chance to survey the field ahead of me and the scenery. Nice to see so many familiar name from the BF fantasy peloton and some new blood, too.
No prediction for stage 2 yet? Wow. Things are busy in normal heights. Bennett. Yawn.
Don't snooze folks. It's almost time to make the donuts again. While Superclasico snoozes until St Patrick's Day when it resumes with another Cat 3 oddity, Tirreno-Adriatico kicks in on Wednesday. It has its own own competition plus if features in the new (?) season long tourapalooza game.
P.S. the league code (first post) works in all the games and feel free to use this thread to discuss any of your fantasies. They're all velogames related, right?

Well I didn't pick Mr. Porte so that bad joojoo ain't on me! What a shame I think that next little "cat 3" race features Cavendish again so I'll be trying to sneak him in. I gotta have a feel good story for this early season!
Oh my gosh they can't quit talking about MvdP and his father hinted at Roubaix so I gotta figure out some streaming options for that.

Look at GCN. They've got a ton of races. Most of the ones that aren't locked into ASO & NBC.

I would like to point out that at Paris-Nice there are only 92 people behind me in all of Velogames and 103 in front of one4smoke .
We are some pretty magnificent bookends for the rest of you.
