Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

rides ****ing nice, still gotta dial some stuff in.

I derped and realized my sweet izumi chain was really gold when I installed it. kinda puts contrast on the bike. I'll keep it.

Haha, I love it!

I don't think the decals are removable. But yes, 1-1/8" steer tube.

That Kilo looks very comfortable and functional. Well done!

Derailleur is being replaced with a tensioner. 33 pounds as it sits, it's a tank.

Old Peugeot (1982-84?) with their HH2 steel tubes - one grade below Reynolds 536, original crank, bars, stem, brakes, with wheels and cogs (42 x 16 at present) from Richard/Wabi Cycles. Tires are Michelin Service Course 2's; seat is ebay buy at $20. Shimano pedals, Arundal bottle cage. Used for my daily 18 mile lunch training ride this summer; about 1000 miles.

Green Leader + silver components + gumwalls = win (shameless self promotion)

What's up with that cable/housing length though?

I was running rb021's with a bar-end lever before, and don't have anything to cut it down with at the moment. Just a product of personal laziness / lack of proper bike tools.
