Fifty two years.

Mrs. Grouch and I have been married for 52 years today. I'm very happy about that.

To keep the content police happy, we've also been riding tandem bikes (and trikes) together for 39 years. Whichever way your relationship is headed, a tandem will get you there faster. We're doing good.

I stayed unmarried until I was in my 40s and it only lasted 6 years, but I started my relationship with road bikes 48 years ago. (Yeah I know, that puts me 2 years short of 50+.)

39 years of tandem riding. Good work!

Congratulations. 52 years? You must be older than dirt.

Happy Anniversary to the two of you!! A magnificent accomplishment.

No need for a tandem here at this time, 42 years married but we've known each other since 1st grade.

Yes. When I started bicycling there were no hilly rides because the earth was still flat.

Happy Anniversary RG, wow, your marriage length qualifies for membership here in the 50+, with a buffer. Congratulations on the time together, our marriage is the single most important thing in our lives. I'd never find another woman to put up with me, I wonder everyday how I managed to snag her.

Congratulations on the big 52. Kind of opposite of me. Marriage is the greatest cause of divorce. So it has been 22 years of non marriage for me. If we had children, marriage would have happened because it gives the kids a bit more protection.

My wife being the wiser of our union, suggests that we NOT get a tandem for the benefit of our marriage. As much as I'd like one in the collection, I'll let her better judgement prevail.

52 years! Congrats. I've only been married for 42.

I have to admit that when I opened this thread I expected an announcement that you had been in this forum for 52 years.

Congratulations - it's 30 years (on 8/31) for my wife and I. She doesn't bike but would pick the rear (stoker) seat on a tandem - and cheat
