Fuji Absolute 1.7 NDS Chain stay bracket
Hi folks,
This week's assignment from the Co-op is a Fuji Absolute 1.7. It's equipped with a linear brake on the front & a U brake on the rear under the chain stays. There is a little bracket on the NDS chain stay with two threaded holes in it. They are ~18mm apart. Pix attached. Any idea what they are for? Possibly for a disc brake with an unusual mount? Or, maybe a kickstand? Any info would be appreciated.

Given that the flat mounting face is to the outside, we can rule out any kind of brake.
That points to a kickstand as the most likely.

Those are "absolutely" (pun intended) mounting holes for a kickstand. There have been some Fuji Absolutes with kickstands mounted as a stock item on the bike, using the mounting holes.

Dang, I was hoping it was a new fangled disc caliper mount. I’ve been wanting to use this style & size frame to build up a bike for our daughter-in-law, but prefer discs. Thanks for setting me straight.
