Got hit by a rock today that was kicked up by a grain hauler. I'd show a picture of the gnarly bruise I got but it's in a "NSFW/this ain't that type of message board" place.

Worse than originally thought. We are up to $6500 now. Whoever built our house was drunk at time. Our plumbing exits out from under house to front...turns left toward other street (we are on corner) then turns again left up side of house and then turns right to the street. WTF

Well no plumbing issues for me today (knock on wood), but I did get a new camera body on Friday....and well I think even though it is in Oregon that I may have found Trojan Horse's driveway.

Pentax K-1 (full frame body) and the battery grip to compliment the body. This body doesn't have an onboard flash built in which is just fine as I have a few flash units to choose from.
This body handles low light like a champ (shot at ISO 8000 the other night and the image was very acceptable, and when I ran it through a De-noise program you would think it was shot at an ISO of 50-100.

Thank you. digital cameras have come a long way from barely producing acceptable images to being able to rival film.
Today I was able to catch a sunrise reflecting off of a mountain from about 150 miles, and an old homestead.
I did see some deer but none I could shoot (camera or otherwise).

I looked like a jockey today...
It's not cold enough to really put on the layers, but cold enough to want to cover exposed skin. So, without really thinking about what I was doing, I put on my black bike capris (down past my knees), tourqoise knee high socks, black shoes, and turquois jacket. Yup, totally looked like I should be out on Seabiscuit and not a cannondale.

Well biking has been good to me, over the past two years I managed to drop from 230# to 160#, unfortunately multiple times as I kept creeping back up to 230# over the winter. I'm now down to 150# and really can't see myself going any lower (Well I probably could but it probably wouldn't be ideal for health reasons; as it is my doctor warned me about dipping below 160# given my build). Over the last couple weeks I haven't touched the bike, but I did start doing something I swore I never would do and that is RUNNING. I love getting up an half hour earlier in the morning and run up my half mile drive way and back(yeah I know 1 mile in 30 min isn't a big deal but for someone just starting out it's huge to me!), plus I've been filling in some vacancy in our order-filling department at work which has me literally running up and down aisles in the warehouse (Just don't tell OSHA). What can I say, going from biking every day to lose weight and get healthier has turned me into a runner. #Whodathunkit?
