They do look they may have a Quick Release built into the lever.

E.blan our pictures would improve if you ALWAYS have the light behind you. Avoid shooting into the light. Those would have been good pictures if your pictures were taken on the other side of the bike with the sun behind you. Good pictures are dependent on lighting and composition.

^^^^^^ Correct; T-Mar pegged the identification as a Schwinn, based on the screws for the retainers on the fork, and the "Pugsley Addams" head lug. The other braze-ons, and head badge screw hole spacing, are consistent with a mid-'80s Schwinn.
