Can't find tubes
I bought two bikes this weekend, one for me and one for my wife. I've been looking for extra tubes to pack in the go bag and I'm finding all the websites are sold out, also is there a particular brand you all have had good luck with?

try Excel Sports in Boulder. Everyone else is out of popular tube sizes. Excel is great and they have bulk tube deals on Continental tubes. Also two pack deals on some tires.

My tires have a 700x40 tube, my wife's a 700x45, I just checked Excel Sports and they are out of tubes in that size as well

Reading a post on another forum from someone who works for a national distributor that stated they shipped what would have been 8 months worth of tube inventory (in a normal year) in just June alone. No wonder tubes are in such short supply.

I personally haven't had much luck finding tube online but weirdly enough, I stopped at a few local bike shops and was able to find tubes. I'd suggest checking out a few if you have a chance.

The bike shop I bought my mountain bike from was out of my size as well, luckily another shop had tubes course enough in size. Is this shortage from people getting out in exercising more? The shop I ended up getting my tubes from was very crowded and they are rarely crowded.

Looks like a rare instance where Nashbar can still come through:

I couldn't find stock of what I wanted in the USA, except for the gougers. So, I ordered them from Bikeinn in the Netherlands at a great price.
IF they arrive, I'll buy there again.
Ordered 7/13
Shipped 7/21 (Tracking # provided, and USPS has confirmed receipt)

I was hunting down some 559mm tires for a refurbish and ended up purchasing from deporvillage.net in Europe. It took a little more than a week to arrive. Only problem was the cost of shipping, but at least I got tires I wanted and didn't have to settle.

A couple of weeks ago I was talking to the owner of one of our local bike shops. He had just, finally, gotten a big box of tubes, especially 26” tubes which he had been out of for a while. It’s been tough finding tubes this year.

Good quality tubes are always a little harder to find than the ordinary cheap Asian stuff. Thank goodness I always stock up on tubes. My recommendation is to always buy 2x or 4x more than needed. Be good. Have fun.

Maybe too soon, but this was me throwing away a few once-used tubes the other night that I no longer need since I run tubeless.

It’s not just tubes. Most anything bicycle related is currently in short supply. My co-op hasn’t been able to get cables or cable housing for almost a month. They had an order for $2000 worth of supplies but only $300 worth of material was available.
