Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

mark and remove seat post. Lube with whatever is appropriate, reinsert. Then move to the seat. Mark it's location. Remove, clean, lube, reinstall.. test.

Also check the rear quick release. Make sure it's tight enough

As I passed through central NY yesterday I stopped in on Jonesy to make sure he was earning his keep.

They said he's earned a passing grade, enough to keep him for at least another week.

Yeah, I had suggested a century but my friends think it's too early in the season for that, so we have an 80 miler planned out to Kutztown. There is a donut destination involved for birthday donuts!

Looking like a washout this weekend. I suppose I should be packing up my condo anyways.

1.4" of rain for tomorrow and then more forecast on Sunday.

Sunday also brings the wind back through Tuesday.

My son's birthday is the day after yours, albeit a million buncha years apart.

You laugh, but when mankind finally leaves the gravity well, Big Air will be a thing.

Don't want to get into it much, but scored a 56 today with the clays. I was happy with that. Course was tough, and winds were gusting into the 20s.

BENCHED!

I had an infected cyst on my back punctured and drained at urgent care this morning. :barf: Doc said it would not be a good idea to ride this weekend. Surgery to remove the whole damn mess is scheduled for Monday, which means I probably won't be back on my bike until the following weekend, at the earliest. Grrr....
