Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a patient from Indiana, and I mentioned to him that I get emails all the time to come work there and how great a place it would be to practice.

I asked him if he thought we would fit in, given we are a Jewish Korean family with a lesbian daughter. He laughed and suggested we look elsewhere.

They do call themselves the Hoosier State.

Believe it or not, politics aside, you would fit right into the DFW area.

Still having anxiety about riding tomorrow. The mtb ride is out, so I'm torn between 2 tough road rides. I like both rides and I like the people at both but the out and back ride has a lot of descending to finish and the other ride has 1000s of feet of climbing toward the end. If I wasn't full of self doubt I would do the second one. I did that ride solo one time 25 years ago. It rained a little bit and it was awesome.

I've been writing to the guys who invited me to try and get them to make the decision for me.

Nah, it's fine. I mean, all Minnesotans are above average when it comes to being passive-aggressive and fondness of hotdish.

Kudos to her. Hoses can be tricky to ride.

Especially when the spray handle is opened, and the hose starts bucking around.

I appreciate the kind words but I need to stop with "the woe is me" schtick. I will try to keep it to a minimum.

It's not quality content. Everyone knows I'm the worldwide leader in quality content.

Pic above was before I set the seat height or corrected the front fender line. I don't know who set that one up.

I heard the rattlers are out early but I haven't seen one yet. Today a friend went to the trail I was on last Wednesday and she saw one.
