Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

*this is not a thread to discuss the merits, or lack thereof, of top tube pads.

Try pipe insulator foam at Home Depot. Works perfectly.

just a technical point: you want POLYETHYLENE FOAM,....not styrofoam (which is polystyrene foam)

I had a friend who would take those noodles, wrap them around pvc pipe, cover with colored duct tape, and attach to a toy lightsaber handle, then we'd all beat the **** out of each other. Seems like a better use for 'em, if you can take the bruises.
